Real, long lived, electronically neutral reagent chemical. Gram formula weight (molecular mass) = 16.042 Solubility in organics = very soluble Boiling range: >20°C. Associated gas is separated from crude oil. Refinery gas comes from the distillation of crude oil. 'Dry gas' is almost pure methane while 'wet gas' contains appreciable amounts of ethane and propane.
