17.32g of CuSO4 in 250 mL of water (FehlingÕs Solution A) and 86.5 g of potassium sodium tartrate plus 35g of sodium hydroxide in 250 mL of water (FehlingÕs Solution B) are mixed together to give FehlingÕs solution.

The A and B solutions should be mixed just prior to use.
